Cut into strips about 1cm wide.Fig.2: Deepen the groove where the edge will fit and apply glue.Fig.3: Fold the chirimen in half so the groove is centered.Fig.4: Temporarily press into the groove. The folded ridge faces inward.Fig.5: Trim off any excess fabric.Fig.6: Press into place. Do not push too hard or the piping will sink into the groove.Fig.7: Pull the folded chirimen fabric as you work.Fig.8: After fixing the edge, pull the fabric while folded and press into place. Apply glue to the groove in advance.Fig.9: Trim excess and secure as shown in Fig.6.Fig.10: Repeat the same steps in small sections (about 2cm). Avoid doing it all at once.
