Yokoyama Taikan
Yokoyama Taikan (1868–1958) was a master of modern Japanese painting and one of the founders of the Japan Art Institute. He is known for his distinctive mōrō-tai style, which uses soft gradations and avoids clearly defined outlines. His best-known works include Metempsychosis and numerous paintings of Mount Fuji. He was awarded the Order of Culture for his significant contribution to the development of modern Japanese painting.
Sacred Peak in Flight
Painted in 1953, Sacred Peak in Flight by Yokoyama Taikan depicts the snow-capped Mount Fuji accompanied by a flock of Japanese red-crowned cranes in flight. Wrapped in a radiant composition of gold dust, the artwork symbolizes Japan's pure spirituality and peace, representing the artist's refined state of mind in his later years.
Mini Hanging Scroll
This compact hanging scroll is designed to resemble a traditionally mounted scroll. The decorative fūtai strips are integrated into the upper fabric, and the roller ends are made of resin. Its compact size makes it as easy to display as a poster, while its affordable price allows you to enjoy Japanese art casually.
High-Definition Art Reproduction with Hand-Applied Color
The artwork is reproduced on specially prepared Shinkenpon, a silk-like fabric, using advanced giclée printing technology also employed by major museums worldwide for fine-art reproductions. The final details are enhanced with hand-applied color to create a more vivid and realistic appearance. The materials offer excellent resistance to light and ozone, helping preserve the original colors and beauty over time.
