His representative works include "Life and the Flow" and paintings of Mount Fuji. He was awarded the Order of Culture and made a great contribution to the development of modern Japanese painting.
Flying the Sacred Mountain
- Yokoyama Taikan's "Flight of the Sacred Mountain" is a 1953 work depicting snow-capped Mount Fuji and a flock of red-crowned cranes. The composition, enveloped in gold light, symbolizes the pure spirituality and peace of Japan, and represents the state of mind of Taikan in his later years.
High-definition art painting (hand-colored complementary colors)
The work is printed on a Shin-ken-bon (High quality printing paper) using cutting-edge giclee printing techniques adopted by famous art museums around the world to produce replicas, and the final finish is hand-colored with complementary colors to create a realistic look. It is weather-resistant and not easily decomposed by light or ozone in the air, so the color tone is less likely to change over time and the beauty will not change.
