In this case, the method and concept of size notation differ for the Emperor and Empress dolls compared to the other dolls such as the Three Court Ladies, Five Court Musicians, Retainers, and Three Servants.

In tiered displays, it is common to use the Emperor and Empress dolls as the standard, and then combine them with other dolls that are one size smaller.

For example, common configurations include "a size 10 Emperor and Empress with other dolls of size 35" or "a size 35 Emperor and Empress with other dolls of "keshi" size."

Therefore, when selecting accessories, we recommend that you consider the size difference not only with the Emperor and Empress dolls but also with the other dolls.

Please note that for particularly old dolls, such as those with palaces, the configuration and size concepts may differ, and these guidelines may not apply to all of them.

Unlike dressed Hina dolls, Kimekomi Hina dolls do not have a universally standardized size.

The size and balance vary depending on the doll's construction, the era, and the individual artist's approach.

Therefore, for this product, please consider whether the sizes of the parts listed are suitable for your existing dolls.

The ornamental comb for the princess has a slight incline already built into it to prevent discomfort when inserted into the head's hole.

This ornamental comb is a part that is often used as a replacement. Please use it as close to the original angle as possible.

Please note that bending it forcibly multiple times may cause it to break.

Although this coronet was not originally made for Hina dolls, we have prepared it due to numerous requests from our customers.

It is called a Hagoromo coronet and was originally used for "Hagoromo" dolls.

A major feature of this coronet is the comb attached to it for inserting into the doll's head.

If you are using it for a Hina doll, this comb will get in the way, so please bend or cut it to modify it before use.

Please note that the tip of the decorative part is very fragile and easily broken.

While you display Hina dolls every year, taking a small extra step when putting them away will make the task of tying the Emperor doll's chin strap much easier the following year.

That step is to gently straighten the crown's cords with a hot, damp cloth before putting them away.

After being displayed for a season, the crown's cords can easily develop creases and kinks from the knots and shaping, which can make it difficult to tie them in the desired position the following year.

Straightening these kinks is what we call "cord straightening."

By resetting their shape beforehand, you can display your Hina dolls the following year without difficulty or stress.

For the Five Court Musicians, the Two Ministers, and the Three Court Functionaries, place a crown or hat on each figure.

The cords of the headwear are made with elastic, so there's no need to tie them.

When placing the headwear, gently spread the elastic with your index finger and thumb, and with your other hand, first place the headwear on the figure's head.

While holding the headwear on the head with your other hand, loop the elastic under the chin and then smoothly remove your fingers.

Please note that the elderly minister has a beard, so it will be easier if someone assists you when tucking the beard inside the elastic.
