Takeuchi Seihō
- Takeuchi Seihō (1864–1942) was a painter who contributed greatly to the innovation of Japanese painting. He combined traditional techniques with Western realism, and was known as a master of animal painting. His representative works include "Striped Cat," and he was awarded the Order of Culture in 1937.
Bounty of the Sea (Kaikou)
- One of Takeuchi Seihō’s final works, Bounty of the Sea carefully captures the beautiful colors, shimmering scales, and lively movement of sea bream, vividly conveying the richness of the ocean and the vitality of life. As sea bream is regarded as an auspicious fish in Japan, the work is also thought to carry a message of celebration and good fortune.
High-definition art painting (hand-colored complementary colors)
The work is printed on a Shin-ken-bon (High quality printing paper) using cutting-edge giclee printing techniques adopted by famous art museums around the world to produce replicas, and the final finish is hand-colored with complementary colors to create a realistic look. It is weather-resistant and not easily decomposed by light or ozone in the air, so the color tone is less likely to change over time and the beauty will not change.
