Hayami Gyoshu
Hayami Gyoshu (1894–1935) was a Japanese painter active from the Taisho to the early Showa periods, who pursued a style that combined realistic observational skills with a unique aesthetic sense. In his early years, he placed importance on detailed depiction, but later incorporated decorativeness and symbolism, bringing innovation to traditional Japanese painting. His works are characterized by precise brushwork depicting tranquil scenes of nature and everyday life, and lyrical compositions with subdued colors. Although he was a short-lived painter, he made a profound contribution to the modernization of Japanese painting.
Asagao (Morning Glories)
Hayami Gyoshū’s Asagao, painted in 1934, depicts blue and dark-hued morning glories blooming along winding vines. The slender, intertwining vines and leaves are rendered with delicate lines, while the vivid flowers stand out against the generous empty space.
Careful observation from life is combined with a simple, refined composition, conveying the light movement of the flowers and the refreshing atmosphere of summer. With its restrained colors and skillful use of empty space, this is a fresh and decorative work from Gyoshū’s later years.

Mini Hanging Scroll
This compact hanging scroll is designed to resemble a traditionally mounted scroll. The decorative fūtai strips are integrated into the upper fabric, and the roller ends are made of resin. Its compact size makes it as easy to display as a poster, while its affordable price allows you to enjoy Japanese art casually.
High-Definition Art Reproduction with Hand-Applied Color
The artwork is reproduced on specially prepared Shinkenpon, a silk-like fabric, using advanced giclée printing technology also employed by major museums worldwide for fine-art reproductions. The final details are enhanced with hand-applied color to create a more vivid and realistic appearance. The materials offer excellent resistance to light and ozone, helping preserve the original colors and beauty over time.
