Kawabata Ryushi (1885–1966) was an innovative Japanese painter active during the Taisho and Showa periods. He switched from Western-style painting to a more innovative style, with bold compositions and large-scale paintings. He founded the Seiryu-sha group, which advocated "venue art," and pursued art that was open to the masses. He also established the Ryushi Memorial Museum near his home. He is a recipient of the Order of Culture, and is highly regarded as a heretic in modern Japanese painting.

Kawabata Ryushi's "Like a Rainbow" is an auspicious painting depicting a flock of cranes flying in a line like a rainbow against the backdrop of a sky filled with golden clouds. Characterized by beautiful colors and a sense of dynamism, it is popular as an auspicious work that symbolizes happiness and longevity. It is easy to display in both Japanese and Western-style rooms, and the painting gives the viewer a sense of hope and brightness.
High-definition art painting (hand-colored complementary colors)
The work is printed on a Shin-ken-bon (High quality printing paper) using cutting-edge giclee printing techniques adopted by famous art museums around the world to produce replicas, and the final finish is hand-colored with complementary colors to create a realistic look. It is weather-resistant and not easily decomposed by light or ozone in the air, so the color tone is less likely to change over time and the beauty will not change.
